Hodgson Sealants

Hodgson Sealants began life in the late 1960s as a small family firm in the north of England, and the family is still involved in the company today.

Over the past four decades, we have grown to become a global supplier of quality sealants with an unrivalled reputation for reliability, technical innovation and outstanding customer service.

The company initially concentrated on putty manufacture, and we have now become a leading European supplier of putty, with a fully automated manufacturing and cartridge filling facility.

By the early 1980s, Hodgson Sealants had begun to expand its range of specialist products, and started to develop formulations for oil and butyl based cartridge sealants. Within a few years, we had also begun the production of butyl sealants for the glazing market and were expanding into other key markets such as industrial roofing and caravan manufacture.

Into the 21st century…

In 2007, we acquired Scapa Tapes UK’s butyl sealants business, along with a large butyl manufacturing facility in the south of England – ideally situated for export to Europe and beyond.

This acquisition of a renowned portfolio of products and formulations, coupled with custom manufacturing expertise, perfectly complemented our existing butyl sealant range.
