Air Tightness

Air Tightness

The subject of air tightness and air leakage has become a key factor in the development of new dwellings, commercial and public buildings.  Building Regulations require new developments to comply with industry standards such as Part L in the UK.  The focus is on designing and developing energy efficient buildings that are measured upon completion to ensure maximum levels of air permeability aren’t exceeded which in turn will lead to a reduction in the CO2 emissions.

The key role that the sealant plays in ensuring a building remains airtight and energy efficient should not be underestimated.  Although it only constitutes a small, inexpensive part of the building envelope, it is one of the critical elements.  We have worked in the construction industry for over 40 years and through our understanding of the various applications and matching our technical expertise and product quality, we have a range of products to suit your requirements.
